Default Private Messaging Not activated for my/all user/s ?

    Hello Forum Administrator,
I have a general question about the private messaging system.
Is it active on this forum / is it for a selection of people only?
If not, what are the advantages of the "friends" system. How can I get in touch with friends in a private context ?
    Many thanks for a response.
    Johi.

    hi Johi-

Not sure what you are asking in regards to the friends system?

Private messaging is turned off, yes. We do this to prevent spam.

    Hello Steve,

    Thanks for the answer.

With my question is was asking how to get in touch with my "friends" on the forum.

Is there a way to get their mail address without exposing it on the forum ?

    Best Regards,
    Johi.

    Hi Johi-

Take a look at my profile underneath the About Me tab, there is a contact section. Anyone can put their skype, aim, yahoo, chat ID there. (I put some bogus info in mine just for testing.) You might put your chat information, and then mention it to the person in a thread, that you want them to contact you there.

You could add it for a couple days, then remove it once you get the other persons reply/message.

Please keep any forum discussion on the forum so that others can learn.
