Default Posters "On Behalf of Intel"

I See a few posters now with the signature "(This message was posted on behalf of Intel Corporation)". They seem to be digging up old posts to reply with very short answers.

Given all of these posters have very low post count, how can we be sure these people are genuine? Most other forums have some way of labelling specific groups of helpers/tech experts. Can this be added here?

Maybe this is some kind of new Intel/Altera support outreach?

That being said, however, a way of officially marking these folks that are being empowered to speak on behalf of Intel should be provided. The current scheme can easily be faked.

So far the postings I have seen by these folks have not been very accurate, indicating they are not very familiar with the Altera product lines and tools.

I just did a websearch on a name from a poster claiming intel, and the only results are threads in this forum. That does not mean it is wrong, but still a bit strange.Does someone have contacts at Altera/Intel that might be able to verify this?

I do believe they are who they say they are - their names and English suggest maybe they are from China? Im pretty sure Altera has/had a big presence there?

Altera has always had a big hands off from its own forum. Maybe this is an attempt to finally engage?

    Hello all,
This is Mary Taylor, the Support Community Manager, from Intel. We recently acquired Altera so our Intel product support engineers are starting to answer questions on the forums. We haven't integrated Altera's forums yet so I apologize for any confusion this may cause in the shorterm. We're working on consolidating them. In the meantime, we're here to help answer questions for you. Kind regards,
    MaryT.

I hope you can see where we are coming from.
Do you have any details of any upcoming changes for the forum?

    Hi,
Yes, I can totally understand where you're coming from. We will absolutely be supporting our Altera customers, you're super important to us! I don't know exactly when we'll integrate the Altera forum, but we will give you advance notice. Hopefully it will be easier to find content, and ask/answer questions after that happens.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience while we support this Altera community "on behalf of Intel."

    Kind regards,

    Mary Taylor

    Hi Mary

I just wanted to feed back that I think you need to work on how professional these "on behalf of intel" posters are. I have seen their posts moderated (ie. not visible until approved) and they have not used code tags when posting code. Im not really that impressed with their replies either. I dont think it reflects very well on the Intel Brand.
I also dont understand why you dont have your own admin or moderators on this forum yet.

Can I suggest you please review who is posting and how they are posting before allowing any more "on behalf of intel" posts.
